“A strong foundation of love, and legos.”
Alex and Vanessa told us to prepare for a for the, and I quote, “subtle lego theme” at their wedding. Even though Alex described it, I was still left wondering what a subtle lego theme would look like.
And it was the perfect level of subtle, too. I was afraid that I was going to be humming “Everything is Awesome” literally all day, because it had been starting up in my head every time I thought the word “Lego” for the past few months. But they kept it classy and understated, so I only hummed it like, twice.
S’mores, of course are a common (and delicious) trend at outdoor weddings, but here’s another one I hope catches on: Giant Jenga. Yes, please! If you are going to have a lot of kids at your wedding, consider this – they loved it! The venue, The Riverwood Inn, had both a fire pit behind the dance area and a space for lawn games. And in case that’s not enough, they also had goats. Nope, not kidding, there is photographic proof below.
