Rush Creek Golf Club Wedding Photography | Maggie + Joe

Maggie and Joe had an exceptionally great bridal party. Their wedding was the day of the ice storm in December that forced numerous highway closures, and I had my first surprise when I met some bridesmaids in the hallway of the hotel and they were talking about maybe leaving for the church early because of the bad roads. This was not idle chit chat – they were dressed, made up and do’ed up – they were ready! Perhaps you wouldn’t think this is amazing, but getting a group of people on the same page for any kind of timed plan is hard enough. When all those people are ahead of schedule enough to adapt the plan – it’s like meeting a unicorn! I was already in awe of these awesome women when we walked into the bride’s room.

Speaking of awesome women, I’d like to take a moment and acknowledge all people that made Maggie and Joe’s wedding amazing (ice storm and all), especially Maggie’s mother, who designed and made many of the dresses worn that day including Maggie’s wedding dress and her own. On top of that, she created all of the centerpieces on the table and who knows what else! This is a woman amazingly creative and talented. We were so excited to photograph her work again.

Congratulations to Maggie and Joe and thank you to the awesome bridal party for being willing to weather the cold!
