It just so happened that Jamie and Dan got married at Aster Cafe on the day that main street closed for the aquatennial fireworks! We snuck outside for the fireworks at the end of the night, but the funnest part was when we took a stroll down the empty main street and the newly married couple got cheers from the patio section of the Wilde Cafe.
It was also extra hot that day and Dan was in an unforgivingly dark suit. So, halfway through the ceremony, he very calmly borrowed a chair from the audience (instead of taking to the pavement.) The lovely Jaimie took her cue and went and picked up her own chair so they could sit face to face for their vows. It was so sweet that they didn’t need to say a word to each other about it.
I think the highlight of the day for me, is when Miko arrived and we got to photograph their little family together. She was a great sport and clearly very proud that her humans were tying the knot!
