From the few hours we spent with Andrea and Chris, it was clear that living on the lake is a lot of work, but so very beautiful. It’s also one of the few ways you can actually tire out a Labrador. While we were shooting Andrea and Chris hanging out on the dock, America (their lab) kept galloping across the dock, chasing ball after ball into the water, having the time of her life.
When we went out on the boat we accidentally drifted into a common route for other watercraft (oops!), so we had some company. But Andrea and Chris stayed totally wrapped up in each other. When I asked Andrea to give Chris a kiss as though she hadn’t seen him in a long time, she planted her feet (so she wouldn’t tip over) and threw her arms around his neck.
As the sun set over the lake, everything became a warm orange. America leaped off the dock one last time and Andrea and Chris headed home. Perfect end to the day.
