From the moment we first met Ellsie and Enrico over Zoom, we knew their wedding would be thoughtful, joyful, and completely their own. At the time, they were still college seniors—Ellsie studying vocal music education and Enrico pursuing psychology (and working as a talented photographer himself). They planned their wedding while navigating school, student teaching, and dorm life, but their vision was grounded in intention: celebrate their love, honor their community, and create something meaningful.
Their venue, Genesis Ranch in Minnesota, was a perfect fit. The newness of the space (Joe and Melissa opened it up just last year) mirrored their own fresh start, and the sweeping prairie fields, tree-lined trails, and tucked-away ceremony spot on a hill set the stage for a day that felt both peaceful and alive with possibility.
The highlight of the night, for us, came during the dance. It wasn’t a grand sparkler exit or a choreographed number—it was something much better. Enrico’s father took on the role of impromptu emcee and began pointing to guests, one by one, drawing them into the center of the circle for a solo dance moment. With each new guest, the room erupted in laughter and cheers. It was a perfect representation of who these two are: deeply connected to their people, unafraid to invite joy in unexpected ways, and full of gratitude for the relationships that shaped them.
Ellsie and Enrico’s day reminded us that weddings are first and foremost about community, artistry, and moments that will live in memory forever. It was an honor to document their beginning, surrounded by prairie grass, great music, and a dance floor overflowing with love. Congratulations, Ellsie and Enrico!
