This day at Mayowood we captured one of my favorite roasts ever from Chuck’s brother: “Whenever people tell me that they met Chuck, they always talk about how smart he is, how nice he is, or how hard he makes them laugh. And it always breaks my heart to tell them that he fooled them. Chuck will never waste an opportunity to be annoying.” Of course, this was followed by many nice things, but in true brotherly fashion, you can’t just jump to the compliments!
His speech also contained a “complement compliment” for Alexis: “Like me, she also knew how to put up with his tormenting, and she wasn’t afraid to do it right back.” Alexis’s sister might have shed some light on how Alexis developed this particular skill, because she admitted to being the little shadow wouldn’t leave her big sister/best friend alone. Turns out these siblings might’ve been good practice for these two to create a loving/teasing family of their own.
