Natasha & Daniel: A Como Conservatory Wedding Film

Somewhere in Mexico City, ten years before their families and friends gathered at the Como Zoo Conservatory, Natasha and Daniel met for the first time.

Daniel’s dad calls it being “struck by the thunderbolt.” And judging by the story he told during the wedding, the rest of the family didn’t need much convincing that that’s exactly what happened.

Daniel’s brother remembers that later that same day, the family was sitting down for dinner when Daniel suddenly announced that he had to leave—before the food had even arrived. Daniel is not the type to skip out on family dinner, so everyone knew something important must be happening. As they soon discovered, he had slipped away to meet Natasha, their tour guide. And, as he said, this wasn’t a group activity.

A Decade in the Making at Como Zoo Conservatory

Ten years later, that first spark has grown into something much bigger: a shared life, countless adventures, families that have become one, and a celebration surrounded by the people who watched it all unfold from the beginning.

At the historic Como Zoo Conservatory in St. Paul, Natasha and Daniel celebrated their marriage with a day full of effortless laughter, heartfelt speeches, and happy tears. Creating their wedding film allowed us to preserve the dimensions of the day that still imagery alone cannot fully hold—the distinct tremor in their voices, the room erupting during toasts, and the exact cadence of the promises they made to one another.

Vows Under the Glass Dome

“Ten years has passed since I first met you,” Natasha reflected during the ceremony, “and today I’m here getting married to you for a second time.” Daniel echoed the sentiment with a clear commitment: “I vow to love you how you want to be loved, now and forever.”

That idea became a central thread throughout the entire celebration. Their families spoke to the way they support each other, give each other room to be fully authentic, and bring out both the best—and occasionally the most competitive—sides of one another.

From Mexico City to Saint Paul

From a chance meeting in Mexico City to a celebration inside one of the Twin Cities’ most iconic venues, Natasha and Daniel’s day was an incredible reminder of how the best stories unfold naturally over time.
