I think Jess and Shawn would agree; this was a little bit Nala’s day. As Shawn said in his speech, “as you know, we’re too obsessed with this dog, but she is family.” She stood guard over (or beside, actually) Shawn as he got ready for the day, and “ring-bearer” was not just her honorary title. She actually came down the aisle with the rings, unlike many pups who are given backup rings. She did stop along the way, but this was, we assume, to sniff out suspect smells and make sure the way was clear for Jess.
“I apologize to all of you who now have paw prints stamped on you. My suggestion is to consider them a badge of love,” said Shawn. Jess and Shawn had their fair share of “paw prints” on their wedding day. I’m not even going to list them all, but I hope they consider them “badges of love” in a way. Remember, the minute your wedding is over, everything that went wrong is just a good story.
