Recently, we had the privilege of documenting the wedding of Lexi and Ben at the enchanting Fields Reserve venue. In his speech, the best man painted my favorite picture of the night when he said:
“Ben is motivated and driven. So driven that he drove all the way from Iowa City from Huston to follow the love of his life. I like to imagine Ben driving down the highway in the middle of the night in a two door rusty pickup; I think, one eye closed shut from allergies, like he’s a love pirate.”
Lexi’s maid of honor had this to say about her: “Lexi has always been the responsible one. She’s very stable, she works out regularly, she excels in her career, she flosses.” (Followed much knowing laughter.) “She is also a master of clear, direct communication. She and Ben made long distance work because they saw their future together.”
Seeing them together among their friends and family, their connection was so clear. Ben’s best man also talked about how they would sit together for hours on the phone, whether silent or speaking, just so they could learn more about each other’s daily life while they lived in separate cities.
Ben and Lexi, congratulations and we’re so happy you wanted us there to capture all the joy of your day!
