We’ve done plenty of backyard weddings this year, but Hayley and Scott’s was one of a kind. Their family put in a huge amount of work to make a naturally beautiful backyard into a venue, but it was so worth it! Tons of mulch had to be brought in for the aisle, logs were cut for benches, plant holders, and, of course, the arch, and the result was spectacular.
The photos of the bride and groom in front of the trees stretching back behind them? Yeah, that was their driveway. Who has a driveway that beautiful?!
We also had a couple of camera-shy kiddos, which often happens when there’s a big bridal party, and every kid responds to a different “incentive” from his or her parents. The bribe of the day? Swedish Fish. I’ll never forget it because when the ring bearer finally earned his prize, he didn’t gobble them all up – he made sure to offer me one as well. What a sweetie!
Hayley and Scott, you’re awesome! Thank you so much for inviting us to capture your wedding day.
