Mallory and John’s wedding was a beautiful celebration held at Harriet Island Pavilion on a picturesque fall day. The bridal party walked the trails a little bit before the ceremony and ended up in an area that was positively golden.
The reception was filled with heartwarming stories about the couple, making it difficult for me to choose which ones to include in the video. One story that didn’t make the cut was the best man’s hilarious childhood memories, including the groom’s prank of playing dead in the pool to get back at his siblings for ganging up on him. His brother also described John as a little reserved, but at the reception, he and his mom surprised everyone with an unforgettable dance. Mallory’s sister shared an endearing story about how Mallory was so driven in high school that she and their mom intervened to have her take pottery class to avoid overcommitting to difficult classes. Little did they know that this tearful intervention would lead to Mallory’s proficiency in ceramics, possibly related the her crafty streak that added to the beauty of the wedding day (She hand dyed some of the table decor to match the beams in the historical pavilion).
Lastly, a special shoutout to the amazing photographer Marissa Murdy, who was so great to work alongside, who found the golden wood, and lent her “veil in the wind” skills to the last shot of the film. Congratulations, Mallory and John!
